Dr. Wynne visited with Dr. Meredith Madden’s Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education class.
Students in Utica University’s Educator Preparation Program hosted a special guest this Fall - Dr. Diane Wynne, the Executive Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
An educational leader and mental health practitioner, Dr. Wynne has more than 25 years of experience and expertise in designing and implementing school-wide, district-wide, and state-wide initiatives focused on the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and mental health; develop and facilitate professional development workshops for leaders and educators in the multiple areas.
Dr. Wynne visited with Dr. Meredith Madden’s Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education class.
Throughout her discussions with students, Dr. Wynne raised awareness on critical DEI topics, engaged in dynamic dialogue with Utica's Education students, and applauded the innovation of Dr. Madden's course for the Education program.
